Bakuten!! (バクテン!!, Bakuten!!) is an original Japanese anime series written by Toshizo Nemoto, animated by Zecks, and directed by Toshimasa Kuroyanagi. A manga adaptation by Kei Sakuraba started in Kodansha's Dessert magazine on January 22, 2021.
The anime is one of three anime projects part of the larger "Zutto Oen Project 2011 + 10..." initiative aimed at promoting Miyagi, Iwate, and Fukushima. The "Zutto Oen Project 2011 + 10..." is in remembrance of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. The anime is set in Miyagi prefecture's Iwanuma city and centers on a high school rhythmic gymnastics team.
Plot[]
The story follows Shotaro Futaba, a boy who is fascinated with men's rhythmic gymnastics and enrolled at the Ao High School to join the school's team. The story follows a team of unique seniors and Ryoya Misato, a classmate who is famous in high school rhythmic gymnastics tournaments, who run together toward one goal.
