Ayumi Futaba (双葉 亜由美, Futaba Ayumi) is a supporting character in Bakuten!!.

Biography

Ayumi is Shotaro Futaba's younger sister who is from Miyagi where she is in her second year of junior high school. She is still a sweetheart, she has a good brotherhood with Shotaro and she likes the gyoza made by her mother.

Etymology

• The name Ayumi means "second, Asia" (亜) (a), "reason, case, cause" (由) (yu) and "beautiful" (美) (mi).
• Ayumi's surname Futaba means "pair, set" (双) (futa) and "leaf, plane, lobe, needle, blade, spear, counter for flat things, fragment, piece" (葉) (ha/ba), which literally means "bud, sprout, two leaf/twin leaf" altogether.
