Mashiro Tsukiyuki (月雪ましろ, Tsukiyuki Mashiro) is a character in Bakuten!!. Mashiro is a new member of the Shiro High School boys' rhythmic gymnastics team. He is currently in his first year of high school.
Biography
Mashiro and his father, a video cameraman, have moved all over Japan. After settling down in Miyagi, he attended the same junior high school as Ryoya Misato where he started rhythmic gymnastics.
Although he is naive and capricious, he has a natural talent for rhythmic gymnastics and has won a junior competition.
Appearance
Mashiro has messy mid-length white hair and red eyes. He wears a white and blue t-shirt with the number 46 on it, with white shorts and white socks.
Personality
Mashiro is childish and somewhat airheaded. He likes to play around and have fun, and seems to enjoy the company of anyone and everyone he can have a conversation with. He indulges in enjoyable activities to the point that he completely forgets his priorities.
Contrary to his whimsical nature, though, Mashiro is a serious and a talented gymnast. He enters what to most athletes is called the zone, during which, he describes his surroundings as turning "completely white, like a blank canvas."
Etymology
- The name Mashiro as a whole means "pure white" and consists of the hiragana for ma (ま), shi (し) and ro (ろ)
- His surname, Tsukiyuki, means "moon" (月) (tsuki) and "snow" (雪) (yuki)
